Barnyard
These paintings are collaborative work by Anastasia Nelson and Phil Dynan
The artists first moved from the city to a rural setting in 2000. They were almost immediately challenged with animals being "dropped off" at the end of their dead-end road. So they started an "Accidental Animal Rescue Center".
As of 2021 there have been over 450 animals taken in. Some are re-homed, some die, some stay. Cats, dogs, a donkey, a llama, many goats, chickens, and for several years we've had a blind raccoon with us. Read about their stories and see the real animals at: Rescue Animals
The artists paint these pictures to pay for the food and care that the animals require.
